Such a pity....

Such a lovely neighborhood where I live:


Trail Lake, Moose Pass, Alaska, this afternoon.



Too bad the same can't be said of all the neighbors....





Poisonous amanita mushroom at left and the prickly-tempered porcupine below right.


Note the dusty brown bear front paw prints on the panel warning about bears on this trash dumpster with its bear-proof doors.










And what is this to the right? Could it be the poisonous Red Elderberry?













Left we have an alien life form--a variety of stinkhorn known as mutinus caninus. It smells much worse than it looks.
Right is the king of thorns--the Devil's club.






Ah yes, stinging nettles to the left, the poisonous baneberry below right.























Such a pretty flower, the monkshood. Too bad it's poisonous.









Hey!!! Not so fast there. WE DON'T HAVE SNAKES OF ANY KIND!
