Bald eagle high in a cottonwood tree on a bend of the Kenai River in Cooper Landing. You almost always find eagles in these trees.
Black-billed magpie huddled in the snow on my deck rails.
And a close-up/ Note the blue on the wing.
He was checking out the bird feeder on the front deck.
Eagles are so majestic, no wonder it was made our national bird. Is that magpie Heckle or Jeckle?
ReplyDeleteNever seen a black-bill magpie before. The blue on his wing is really pretty. We had a greater variety and more colorful birds when we lived the the North Carolina mountains. (Need to refresh my memory on their names. . .)
