En
route to an area called Silvertip for the next leg in my determination to rid
the area of litter, I stopped to pick up some new litter, new in that I’d
cleaned this area last week. That
litter was a pair of men’s shorts, very snazzy in white, gray and black.
I find a lot of stuff while I'm walking the roads, beside beer cans and dirty diapers, I mean. This summer, I've found two knives, a heavy chain, several pieces of firewood, a tide book, and three golf balls. Also a bunch of black rubber straps and bungee cords.
The shorts looked new and in such excellent condition I thought I might be able to find
someone who wanted them. I checked the
size tab in the waist band and what I found, other than waist size 32, turned
out to be one of the greatest litter finds ever in my ten years of
long-distance litter-picking!
What
a fine pair of shorts!
What
an informative label! Fabric from
Taiwan, assembled in China, shipped to Washington, USA.
What’s so great about all this?
The
other half of the label!!! It’s a
nutrition chart.
A 2 million calorie diet? Or a 2 thousand calorie diet? Based on your time spent in the water. |
There
are absolutely no calories in these shorts, so eat up, my friends! And take a vitamin pill.
Shucks.....I thought maybe you found a 100 dollar bill. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt took an unusual sense of humor to put that label on a pair of shorts. What is the brand name?

ReplyDeleteA "first" for me ... seeing nutritional values on a pair of shorts! They ARE good looking shorts ... makes me wonder what the owner looks like. Smiles, Patti and Cap
ReplyDeleteToo TOO funny. Actually it is amazing. It goes to show you the wide gap between our languages and customs. Smiles .. Cap
