Lost in Translation

I've tried to tell the red squirrels that visit my bird feeder that it's called a "BIRD" feeder for a reason.

Really, Squirrel, it's no wonder why the feeder is empty so often and you have to dive for sunflower seeds.

Yes, I'll refill it soon.

You're welcome.   (Sigh.)

That pretty Pine Grosbeak lady is waiting patiently for her turn.

  1. The squirrel looks a bit annoyed at having to wait for the feeder to be refilled, and the Pine Grosbeak appears willing to wait patiently! Smiles, Patti

  2. Those squirrels have jumped over to the window sill, stood up, and looked at me when the feeder's empty. And those sweet grosbeaks are indeed patient.

  3. I have a friend in San Mateo California who has convinced me that defeating the squirrels is almost IMPOSSIBLE. He has a bird feeder on a tall pole in the middle of his yard and the squirrels will leap from nearby trees to get at the seeds. Smiles .. Cap and Patti

  4. Your Pine Grosbeak photo looks like a painting...beautiful.

We have purchased feeders from Wild Birds Unlimited that are squirrel-proof. We love them because they really work.

  5. I don't mind the squirrels. They're fun to watch and have to eat too.
