A sweet, citrus-tasting medication and a small syringe to administer 0.06 ml by mouth. "This is gonna be fun," I said. When I got home, and Pablo was sitting on my knee, I offered the syringe and....
Well, I'll let Pablo tell the rest of the story....
Get that thing away from me!
Oh, a spoon. That's more like it.
I'll hold it myself.
(Ed. note: There goes the first dose.)
I can do it. I can do it.
Just a minute. You try doing this with your foot.
Mmmm-mmmm. Good.
More, please.
(Ed. note: The most fun was chewing up the bottle cap.)
Hmmm... Just accessed this on my iPad. No trace of the video that I spent hours uploading.
ReplyDeleteWell I can see it on my PC and that bird is a-dor-a-ble!
ReplyDeleteThe more I see of people, the more I love my pets. Great story.
ReplyDeleteWhat gadget did you use to insert the video into the blog?
I can see it too. I love your captions, Gully, as always.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope the meds ease Pablo's arthritis pain.
Warren, I uploaded it directly from the camera via USB cord. Tried it from the flash card, then from a file exported from Picassa, but it wouldn't.t take.
ReplyDeleteI can see the video, too! What an amazing bird! "Just let me do it, Mom!" I give my cat blood pressure meds via syringe and it can be an ordeal. Never thought to see if she'd take it from her food dish!
