We interrupt our regularly scheduled programming to bring you an important announcement.

I was compelled by necessity to straighten up my desk today. In the process, the Kremlin guide book I was using to positively identify my numerous photos seems to have disappeared. Therefore, I will have to delay Chapter Two of the Kremlin story until that wretched guide book reappears. Such are the travails of a messy desk person.

In the meantime, please be content with a photo of the most magnificent cathedral in the square, the Assumption Cathedral, where all the Russian tsars were crowned. Please ignore that dratted tourist who seems to crowd into many of these photos.

In the meantime, I will post the story I've been itching to tell since I started the Russian Journals. Please see below, Part Nine, Kizhi Island.

  1. Look in Pablo's cage. I bet the guidebook's in there, hopefully not in shreds.

Some people just love having their picture taken and I reckon recurring tourist is one of them.

Heck, I don't blame you. You want proof that you were there.
